We are inviting new patients to join our Patient Participation Group.

We will be hosting a virtual meeting on Thursday 8th April 2021 to discuss how the PPG operates and how you can join this group in more detail.

What is a PPG?

uGroup of patients, carers, GP practice staff who meet to discuss practice issues and patient experience to improve the service.

uContractual requirement of NHSE for all GP Practices to have a PPG

uPurpose:

uTo give patients and staff the opportunity to meet and discuss topics of mutual interest

uTo provide a means for patients to become more involved and make suggestions about the healthcare services they require

uTo explore issues from patient complaints and surveys to support service improvement

uTo contribute feedback to the practice on the National Patient Survey, and Friends and Family test to propose developments or change.

uTo support health awareness and patient education (i.e. awareness events / newsletters)

Why Join? 

uThe opportunity to be more involved with the practice

uA chance to make suggestions and improve the practice

uA means of ensuring that complaints are taken on board and necessary changes are being made

uA way of finding out more about healthcare provisions in the local area

uMake a contribution to the NHS and the wider community

uAn opportunity to learn more about the NHS, GP Practices, and other ways to use skills as a patient representative
