Travel Vaccinations

global air travel

We offer a ONE STOP Travel Clinic here at Richmond Road Medical Centre.

To avoid unnecessary hassle and multiple appointments, we have devised 3 simple stages as follows for patients requiring travel vaccinations:

1. If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel, please complete the form below and bring this into the surgery. This form will include which questions about countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.

2. Our nurses will then review your form and advise our administrative team which vaccinations are required.

3. Patient's are advised to contact the surgery after 48 hours of initial form submission to find out if any vaccinations are required - at which point they can book an appointment to have these done.

There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below

Europe Europe & Russia North America North America
Central America Central America South America South America
Caribbean Caribbean Africa Africa
Middle East Middle East Central Asia Central Asia
East Asia East Asia Australasia Australasia and Pacific

It is important to hand the form in at least 6 weeks before you travel. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your vaccination appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.

Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
